A Perfect Collision of Two Seemingly Parralel Worlds

Not every day does such a great opportunity just fall into your lap, at the same moment you become ready for it. Even if the most incredible, life-changing job opportunity peeked its nose around the corner, would you be in the right position, with the right skillset, at the right time to be able to capitalize on it?

With a bit of luck in the form of a brilliant older sister- two years of preparation, and countless hours spent mashing the keyboard in my favorite FPS: Team Fortress 2; I finally can say my hard work has finally payed off.

Whoever says playing video games is a waste of time- think again. During the interview for an internship at Genesis Interactive: http://www.gotgame.com my experience in video games has finally been officially validated. "I probably play more TF2 than anyone you know," is what I told them in my interview. Well, not only do I play the game, I do a lot of stuff revolving around the game: frag videos with dope title scenes, map testing, being active member (former staff) of http://www.teamfortress2fort.com - the worlds largest tf2 fansite.

Here at GotGame I hope to be able to combine my knowledge of 3d visual effects with my passion for gaming to produce something that is satisfying in my life.

Things are finally coming together for good ol' Durbs. Just when I felt the stress of year-round school, and living 3000 miles away from friends and family taking its toll; I got a message from my older sister about an internship opportunity. This was the sign I had been waiting for. No longer would I feel that I had wasted my time in California.

It is always darkest before dawn.
